I’m Richard Hewlett, a computer professional based in the UK, currently working for a large financial organisation designing, building, supporting and managing various software solutions. My experiences gained over many years cover all aspects of the development lifecycle from Software Development to Technical and Solution Architecture, including Technical Development Management. I have a general interest in all things technical and I am an unashamed geek.
This blog is a collection of various pieces I want to share with the community, ranging from comments on tech news articles, tutorials, essays, thought provoking looks at our industry and general tech tips. The subjects vary from low level ‘how to’ guides to essays on Enterprise Architecture. I appreciate that this is a broad set of topics but I enjoy getting my hands dirty as much as I do whiteboarding blue sky solutions and I think it’s essential that Architects keep their feet on the ground.
I’ve also posted applications on this site for download that I have created and where I think they might be useful to the wider community.
I look forward to hearing any feedback you might have on this blog via the comments.
Thanks for visiting!
